Cool Venge's SXT Intrepid shots + Accident

Figured i'd show off my intrepid...

Black
3.5 H/O SXT
2003
80k Miles
-----
40 Series FlowMaster Muffler
-----

^^"The emblem fell off so I went and bought a 60$ new one, I believe its a little off center :("^^ (My girl trying to block her face with a paper :P)

^^"Added little decal stickers to make my car more.. individual so that people I know can easily spot me out"^^

^^" Yea, so some asshole in a GMC truck scraped up against my car when it was parked on the side of the road because he was a intoxicated DumbF*ck... He gets out and is like "Whos gunna paaay for thiiiss?!?" I was like "......Well seeing how you hit my parked car, destroyed someones garden decorations and you are now parked on top of a bush I would say that it's not going to be me. Can I get your insurance info please?....."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Taken the night of the accident -->

^^"This kind of depresses me a little"^^

Started to redo the interior paint with a deeper black and a red trim :P First time doing this so its not going to be perfect. :/

At any rate this is my Intrepy probably nothing spectacular compared to the other intrepids on here but i figured i'd put mine on here anyways Thanks for viewing

Nice, low mileage too. Not too much a fan of the interior paint but it looks very well done.

The spoiler can readily be replaced from one at a junkyard and I'm sure the bumper could too.

Yup, It was driven only 5 miles roughly between home & Chrysler ITP2. I've only put about 5k on it. She drives smoothly except for the factory default error in the PCMs software. There was a recall on it but it's going to be fixed tomorrow. Hopefully that will solve everything.

Not a fan of interior paint in general or you just don't like the color? :/ I wanted a deeper red but all they had was this bright red :P I agree It looks a little doofy now but once i get the whole project i have planned for this car finished I think Itll pull through and make this car look a little more monstrous and sporty. I plan to get Halo projector headlights. Aftermarket hood (theres only 1 for the intrepid i've seen so far -_-) a muffler to give her a bit of a roar, repaint the spoiler and the fender and bumper. new front bumper ( the one on it now has uhhh, whats it called? Road rash? anyways its scuffed.) New horns because i bottomed out this car and somehow it detuned my horns so it sounds funky. Underglow effects, tinted windows, moonroof, raise the front end or get really low-end hydrolics so that i dont scrape the front end every time i go up a remote incline. Theres a whole lot I want to change in it. but thank you

You're referring to the PCM reflash in the 03/04s, not sure if that'll fix a CEL but hopefully.

Just not a fan of either interior paint for the most part or that color. But it's definitely a look and it'll fit a sport appeal.

Unfortunately there really isn't a aftermarket hood. Like most projects on the LHs it's all custom fabrication. The sunroof is also going to be an extremely expensive project unless you're really committed. If you want good condition parts some yards will have good front ends/rears lying around.

As for clearance I'd kill for the Intrepid's ground clearance, lol. You must really have some steep entrances around you because I don't recall ever having an issue in the R/T.

Keep up the work and I hope to see your progress.

Duraflex offers this -->

Runs for about 360$

I've never pulled parts (or anything) from a junkyard before, idk how to go about doing that. id be worried about getting something that has just been lying around for god knows how long, how well taken care of that part has been (if its carefully stored somewhere or if it was just tossed in a corner or something) It just varies :P
I agree the sunroof is probably a multi-Gee investment :P

If only you knew of Kokomo, In. Most of the residential driveways here have a decent incline to them. I have to pull out at an angle just to avoid scraping the underbody of the car. Some road have hills that dont really correspond with the speed limit so if you're going to fast through an intersection you may or may not bottom out. This is a picture of my serpentine belt after bottoming out. The air dam was smashed into it and ate it away. -->

Dont ask me how it didnt brake on me. Im surprised it didnt. lol

EDIT: whats a CEL?

Nice trep...

The paint is nice, but I would have painted it in reverse. The part paint red, would be black..and vice versa.

I like the shifter tho. Black/Red just happens to be my favorite color combo.

Color look like Rustoleum Regal Red... I've been painting my friend's interior pieces with it, a couple days ago.

If I had painted it in reverse I would of been using a lot more red :P I wanted black to remain dominant

I don't think that's possible, with such a strong red. That will always be the dominant color. Not bad so far, but you should mask it off a lil' better next time. See a some over-spray.

there are some over spray spots. Masking gets harder as you're making tighter turns and awkward angles. Some of what you see may just be sanded off paint. Lol. Most of what has over spray on it will be covered with the black, but lacquer thinner will take it right off. Masking the vents proved to be challenging as they do not pop off. :( I'm open to masking tips! At one point I was using my ID card to shove/guide the tape into the groves but even that had minor flaws =/

Oh I gotcha...

And trust me, the vent do pop out! There are 4 lil tabs that hold each in place. You'll have to have a tiny precision screwdriver to push the tabs in, as you pull the vent out, corner by corner. I have mine painted gloss black.

Is it just the two on the passenger side? The others look molded to the dash. I take it these tabs are behind the dash itself. :P
