Wow! The dash looks great. How hard was that too install? I remember reading about it at some point on here, but I can't remember where. Anyone have that thread handy?

Great job Bart.

I really like the Electroluminicent Threads in the doors. I was thinking of doing that myself. Here is what I've done so far as far as lighting goes with mine. It's not quite as bright as in the picture though. I also have two small lights above my seatbelts that shine back on the roofliner with turquoise light.

How did you do the tail lights? Also they looked smoked in the picture. Are they, and is it just a cover or a full replacement to the original. I really want some smoked ones, hate the basic red the is currently there.

I was wondering the same thing. Is that the smoke tint that is in a spray can for the taillights?

I believe he used window tint? There was a post about it on the old boards, I'll try to find it

dodint, it wasn't too hard, if you have some knowledge of basic electronics. The hardest part I guess was figuring out whether or not one LED in each hole where the incondescent lights were would be bright enough and how much resistance to use to keep the LED's from burning out. Other than that it just takes some patience figuring out how to retro-fit the lights on there.

98PurdueIntrepid, your's looks really nice. Is it really that bright or does the camera you used pick up the light better? The digital camera I used isn't very good at all in low-light situations.

grimmster and 98PurdueIntrepid, as far as the tail-light tint goes, the post from Intrepid98 and the old forum post says it all. I might end up taking it off and using the spray tint stuff (I won't take off the old stuff until I test the spray tint first though). I'm not sure if the spray tint sprays evenly or not. I'm guessing if you do numerous very light coats it would work. Maybe someone has some experience with that. As of now, my car is out of commission until further notice anyway (my tranny is shot) and I'll need to get it replaced. I'm gonna call the dealership and if needed, the chrysler customer service line and bitch at them because a tranny going out at 51k miles is not tolerable in my book. My dad's '96 plymouth grand voyager has 117k miles without one single problem with the tranny. He tows a 1500 lb trailer all the time over mountain passes and for hundreds of miles. No doubt that his transmission is driven harder than mine.

It's the camera.. It's not really that bright. It looks a lot better than the pic shows. I also have a couple blue lights shining on the roof liner behind the sunroof.. really dim but it puts color up there

Intrepid98 and Bart, thanks for all the info. The look is just what I want, but not sure about window tint, or the spray. Does it hold up long term or will it start looking like crap after 5 months. Here in MN, we get all the cold and snow and have to brush snow off the lights, possibility for scrathes there. It does look damn sweet though!

grimmster, it holds up relatively well considering the package for the window tint specifically says not to use on plastic. I put a few clear-coats on to help seal it up. There is a little lifting on the edges from washing my car, so I think you might be better off using the spray tint and just spending quite a bit of time with it. And trust me, the spray tint will be alot easier than using tint film because I'm sure we all know how much of a pain tint film is.

I'm not sure exactly what is wrong with the transmission, but my uncle (who own's a shop, with some friends who own a transmission shop next door to him) said from what I explained to him, it sounds like the hub (kinda like a wheel hub i guess) breaks on chrysler transmissions easier than they should. It won't go into reverse at all with some minor clanking and knocks, even in park after puting it into reverse. Drive works intermittenly as of right now but with a loud squeal that sounds like a radio controlled car in all gears, including neutral and park when the car was warmed up enough. Just the drive gears when it's cold. Before reverse went completely, it would shudder quite a bit, vibrating my car really bad with a low frequency like going over a bumpy dirt road. As time progressed over the course of a few days, it would work less and less.

I was seriously considering the spray tint to at least try it. But then thought that it may be a big pain pain in the ass for me with my spoiler in the way :(

Take the taillights off...it's pretty easy to do so.

Damn, I'm an idiot I never even thought about that. I bet you could do a decent job with the spray tint if you take them off
