I did try rubbing compound on a rag, then a rigid sponge to clear up the headlights... nearly blew my arm out, and very little result. I then, in the absence of an actual buffer, a thick rag attached to a vibrating sander with more rubbing compound. That actually worked a little bit, but took absolute ages to see progress. The pits are really deep and the fogging is really thick, not sure what it'll take to get them cleared up.
Honestly thinking about replacing them. Found these projector headlights on ebay for a reasonable price:
Has anyone here used projectors like these? Are they any good, or should I just stick to OEM replacements? Also, will I end up being that douche blasting super-bright white lights into other peoples rearview mirrors? I'm fine if they're white, but I don't want to blind anyone.
Also, although they look kinda cool and funky, I'd like to be able to see them on a trep before I commit to anything. Anyone who has them is welcome to post photos.
Edit: Actually, the more I look at them, the less I like them. Still open to seeing them on someone else's though, might change my mind.... Just seems to have this crazy robotic eyes thing going on, not sure I want that.
