center caps

ok, I really think the center caps looked too boring so I thought I would dress them up a little bit

my original plan was to put on the ram head decals, paint the center cap black then remove the decal leaving the ram head silver and the rest of the cap black

now that I have the decals on I like the look a lot and am not sure if I am going to go ahead with the paint idea or just leave them like this

just leave them like that, it will look alot better, painting the whole cap black will ruin it I think.

It looks pretty cool like that. You should photoshop it to see how it would look painted before you go ahead and do it.

OK...now here comes the real test. How will they stand up when you are trying to get your rims all clean and shiny?

we'll just have to find out...

I ordered two sets of the decals, I think I'll see how these hold up and then decide whether or not to paint them

Don't the second generation Stratus cars have ram head center caps? I think they do. Someone should see if they fit on the Trep rims. They aren't black like that but they are the same exact logo.

That's my plan. They are the same size, I measured. They are pretty expensive from a dealer though for a little piece of plastic. oem-car-parts has them for like $18 each!!

ummmm, one trip to the local mall parking lot could yield you a bucket full of em. (kidding naturally)

I think the ES rims are the most handsome bar none.

1. You have to take the whole wheel off and pop them out from behind, so stealing them isn't a good option....too much work ;)

As for your second comment, I feel the same way. If I were to upgrade to new rims in the future, I would like them to be similar to the ES rims

The Dodge minivans have them on some of their wheels, and you can take them off without taking off the wheels IF they are fairly new, with a small, small flat screwdriver and care.
