jlgoolsbee's '99 Intrepid ES

Welcome to my (jlgoolsbee's) sig thread! My name is Lee, I'm 21, and I'm from the north Texas area, though I am about to start my Senior year at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene.

My Intrepid ES is a 1999; I got it from my grandparents in July of '05 with only 46,000 miles on it. The first pic below is the only one I have from the day I brought it home.

It's only been in one accident since I got it, and I wasn't even there. I was parked in the lot at church one Sunday, and after the service I came outside to find both of the driver side doors scratched and dented... got that fixed though; looks good as new.

Mod list is below, and below that are more pics. It seems like every time I go to take pictures, it's cloudy outside... hopefully I can get it cleaned up and find a sunny day to take more pics.

Stock OptionsFirst day.
  • Candy Apple Red
  • 3.2 Liter V6
  • Leather Seats
  • 60/40 Rear Seats
  • AutoStick
  • Trac/ABS
  • OTIS
  • ATC
  • Infinity Audio System
Mods Completed
  • Replaced damaged front door speakers with Clarions
  • Debadged "Ram" logo on front hood
  • Fog light reflectors removed
  • JoeKD J-Intake with AEM DRYFLOW filter
  • Spoilerdepot.com custom spoiler
  • RB1 nav unit
  • Mopar iPod interface adapter
  • Replaced front door sail-pod tweeters with factory replacements
Mods I'm working on
  • None, at the moment
Mods I'd like to do
  • Magnaflow single-in dual-out exhaust
  • Window tint (darkest legal limit, probably)
  • Blue interior lights (all of 'em, if it's possible)
  • Automatic headlight switch
  • HID?

Pics

Alright, here's a panorama shot of the interior:

I stand corrected, I had no idea they ever offered candy apple as a color. It still looks like inferno red to me. Maybe I'll tell people my car is candy apple, they look at me funny when I refer to it as inferno red.

I've got just over 65,800 on her now; too many trips back and forth from college.

1999 was the last year for Candy Apple Red; that color option was replaced in 2000 with Inferno Red.

Thanks for all the positive comments! The inside is just about as immaculate, except for the engine bay... though that's getting a thorough cleaning soon, as I'll be installing JoeKD's J-Intake, and I don't want all that dirt under there!

Ok, I've updated with some pics of the interior, the engine bay, and a couple detail shots. Thanks again for all the comments!

Well, the hood debadging was more out of necessity, since the emblem fell off on it's own and all that was left was the black adhesive that was underneath... but the debadged look has grown on me; we'll see what happens.

I've got that "mods I'd like to do" list; besides that I'm not sure. I'm always looking around these forums for mods I might like.

You know, I wouldn't have picked it (I probably would have gone for silver), but the color has grown on me and I love it now.
