Well, after a long song and dance, I am now a double Intrepid owner. Besides the 2002 SE (pictures still to come eventually, but trust me it is pretty much as stock as stock can be), I now own a 2002 R/T also (2002 SE going to my son in about a month when he gets his permanent license..). The R/T is stock (still), except wood grain overlays applied by the previous owner. I was quite apprehensive about it, but ended up liking it quite a bit. Might just leave it.... No other mods done to it yet, but have a few in mind... When I got the car, the fog lights did not work (fixed) and only one of the high center tail light bulbs was working (fixed also). Center cap on the front left wheel is missing, waiting for replacement from dealer, but might check the local salvage yard for something compatible (Magnum and/or Charger caps with the rams head would be great. I think they fit too)... Found a good interim fix to avoid having to drive with a 'hole' in the center of these chrome wheels, but SO CHEAP, I am afraid to even post about it.
Car seems in GREAT shape, about 37,000 miles on it. So far I only gave it a good cleaning inside, still have to wash, wax and polish the outside. No pictures taken, but here are pix from the dealer ad:
Note the 'ding' just forward of the fuel door. Got a couple minor scratches on the right passenger door also, should buff out though...
Again, more shots, including interior (dark slate grey leather -almost black- in near perfect condition) to follow later...
Audio system upgrade (even if it is just new speakers... )
Heavy Duty Sway Bar (might do that on the 2002 SE first though.. but then again, maybe not... bar and bushings are on order from the local dealer)
Cold Air Intake
And by the way: sway bar and bushings total cost about USD 25 or so.... the ASHTRAY insert that is missing would have been USD 68....... SIXTY EIGHT BUCKS... Told the dealer that I think I will be visiting the salvage yard instead
