Helped friend install water cooling
Overall it came out very nice. Not the prettiest thing, but it works like a champ. Lowered his MAX processing temps to 39*C, running full tilt. Used to be around 55* i believe. Quite an improvement, and fun to do.
I'll let you know in the long run how it turns out, but for now, he's all smiles

Got any pics of the finished project? How much did it cost? Oh and what pump did you use?
I'm thinking of doing watercooling mainly cause the noise my 4 fans produce gets to me after a while.

He spent around 130 for all the parts, installing it took maybe 1/2 an hour, but you also have to run water through it to test for leaks and to get the air out of hte system for about 3 or 4 days.
The pump he used was a VIA Aqua 1300

I think that 55 degrees was prety damn high to begin with, my current system runs at 39-41 degrees without water cooling

Couldn't tell ya. I might not quite be 55, but it's above 50. However he keeps his computer case on and then inside his desk with the door closed, so it usually got pretty hot in there.

still there is no way it should be running that hot. he should have looked into the fan first. heh, but i guess if the water cooling floats your boat, go for it (heh floats your boat, water, haha, aren't I funny?)
