Home Theater on the cheap

Been working on this for a year..it all started with buying a busted projector on eBay for dirt cheap and fixed it, hung a picnic table cloth on the wall, and shazzam, instant "big screen" Me being the "always gotta go better yet" guy...started to slowly build this to a 1/2 decent theater. Football will never be the same ;)

Biggest PIA was the screen, but w/ some help, got it up fairly cheap...bout 150$ total (Screen material from ebay, 110$, Lumber, black sprait paint from Lowe's round 40$. The projector was another "as is" ebay item, talked guy down to 50$, as with a lot of "as is" stuff, I had it fixed within 10 minutes out of the box when it got delivered. Sounds system is a bit old school but am running optical inputs for both computer and Set-top cable box to a Sony STR-DE995 7 channel receiver, the ol school SAE beneath it drives a Sony 12" sub hidden behind a lazy boy & the wall.

Ended up being 132" diag screen (11ft) ;)~

2 1/4" crown molding

only thing IBM on this is the 2006 case, should take pics of insides,
900 watt PS, 4-core AMD w/ 8 GB ddr3, and a Nvidia Gforce 650 video w/ 3GB DDR3

The ceiling mount cover is tupperware spray painted black

guess ya would like to see something showing on it?????

Garage
Nice! I did similar, but I framed in a heavy curtain from menards. Cost me about $20 bucks. Yours looks way nice obviously.

My son-in-law did a similar setup in his basement.

Great job! It is impressive.
