Smile iPhone 4s

So has anybody used one of the new phones yet? My iPhone 4 had issues with it's microphone not working when talking on the phone, it would only work when it's on speakerphone. I'm sure it was just a software issue but I was too lazy to reload the iOS5. Anyways, I purchased the extended warranty from the department store I purchased from so I decided to bring it in and see what they say. I thought this warranty was one of those things that I would never use and was a waste of 300$+. I dropped the phone off and she told me to come back in a bit. When I went back she just handed me my phone and said I had a new one, all I had to do was plug it into my computer to get my contacts back. I got home and started doing just that. That's when I noticed that the mute button on the side didn't fit right into my case. After finding the model numbers online turns out they gave me an iPhone 4s!!

Anyways, Siri is kinda cool, it still has some bugs to get worked out of it that's for sure. The speakers are louder that for sure, and sound better. I'll have to see how it goes once I get it fully setup but I'm pretty pumped to have a free upgrade!

you mean a $300 upgrade. Nice you got your money's worth out of the insurance!! Wonder if that was on purpose or on accident.

True... but come next year at this time I might just try the same thing to get a newer version of the phone since by then the iPhone 5 will be out. The Warranty expires in 2013 IRC.

Cool Steph! I'm gonna hold out until next year when the 5 comes out. (unless I can be impressed by a Windows phone enough once Win8 gets rolling... certainly not the case with anything with an Android OS on it) My iPhone 4 is still hanging in there like a champ. Just updated to iOS 5 the other night... all is good!

Just upgraded from a 3GS to 4S. Was running out of room for my music, and took the plunge.
Now using Siri on a regular basis for simple stuff like checking weather, setting alarms, and asking the occasional stupid question just to see how it reacts.
My prediction is that over time Siri will fundamentally change the game - that is, how people use their phones. Just like the original iPhone fundamentally changed smartphones.
Awesome!

Siri is a cool option, I used it a bit at first and now not so much. Like you, I use it to set alarms but that's about it. But, as mentioned I think it'll become a really nice feature once the bugs are worked out of it.

I use Siri all the time while in the car. I can read/send messages play tracks / albums / artists all hands free without taking my eyes off the road. I have a vent attached cell phone holder and run my iPhone cable to my stereo. It's great!

That works too, didn't think of that. But the problem with that for me is that my phone is connected through Bluetooth to my stereo so every time I use Siri it interrupts the music, it gets annoying.
