Mitchell OnDemand 4

This was offered up on another site I visit....

and diagnostic aides for the most difficult problems. Service advisors
improve customer credibility.

Repair Articles, Specifications, Illustrations

and specifications, give technicians the data they need when they need
it most.

Electrical Component Locators
Locators help techs find important electrical components. ON-DEMAND
has more than any other product.

Streamlined Navigation
Selection choices all on one screen. Improved layout helps technicians
find information in fewer steps.

Article Recall

useful on PCs shared by two or more technicians.

Wiring Schematics
Detailed wiring schematics help technicians locate and troubleshoot electrical
issues quicker than ever before.

Installation:
NOTE: You WILL need a blank floppy disk for the installation of this program.
All data will be destroyed on the diskette during installation.

Burn/Mount the Installation disc.

Open the Disc in Explorer and browse to the folder "Install Floppy".
Run the EXE file in this folder to create a Key Diskette (Leave all options at
default, unless you need to choose an alternate floppy drive letter
designation).
During setup of Mitchell OnDemand4, you will be asked for information relating
to your "Business".
Enter the Account Number "013" and any Business Name you would like.
Leave the rest blank and click Next.
Installation will complete.
Run Mitchell OnDemand.
Burn/Mount Domestic Data Disc 1.
Click "Setup" and then "Registration" in Mitchell OnDemand.
Disc 1 of the Domestic Data will be listed in the window and it will appear
with a checkmark next to it.
Click "Register Selected Products" on the bottom left of the window.
Mitchell will copy some files.
Repeat the steps above for the Import Data Disc 1.
When done, you will be able to select the year, make and model of the
vehicle you are interested in.

No idea. From the way the description sounds, it is a full open version. I haven't tried to get it myself as I have another program like it already.

Keep us updated if you can open them. I don't want to spend all that time downloading and then not being able to open them. TIA.

Let me clarify. I'm a lazy ass and if it doesn't work, let me know so I can spend more time doing nothing.

Somebody on the other site got the program working. Here is his post:

it works,i got them all and it installed fine.i figured this out after getting everything but if u want just ur current auto info.download the first section,cd1-5.disk 1 is the install disk,it also has the floppy install folder.disk 2-9 r for domestic auto's,10-15 r for imports.with disk 1 u can install it.then when u look for ur vehicle it will tell u to insert domestic/import disk number ???.that will tell which section of the download u need to get for ur vehicle.

I dunno. The first file (MMONCD1A5.part01.rar) is only 12kb when I download it. I still can't open the damn thing. I keep getting an error message saying the archive is either in unknown format or damaged.

btw...I right mouse clicked and did a "SAVE LINK AS".

I'm not on the computer I downloaded that same file to, but I can tell you it's not no 12kb. I'm assuming you only got the first 12kb of that file and that's why you can't extract it. It took a few minutes for me to download with my 5Mb Roadrunner connection. It was a lot larger than 12 kb.

A-ha! You can't right mouse click. You must left mouse click on the link and "follow the instructions".

Tricky.

The first file was about 98MB and the file opened up just fine.

Looks like you have to get a PREMIUM ACCOUNT. I tried to download the second file and it says I have to wait 73 minutes.

This could take forever. I think I will pass. :(

Do a search on Google. There are ways to bypass the need for a Premium account on Rapidshare.

I can't extract it. When I go to extract it, it says I need another file (which I haven't downloaded yet) to continue. The unpacked size is 574,600,656 bytes. I suppose I could have just said 574MB.
