Dell Laptop Battery?

I have a Inspiron 1150 Laptop it's about 2 years old.... The battery has went from lasting 3hrs to now 30min on a full charge.... I have seen the prices from dell and a few on ebay, but I was wondering if someone here knew of a good place online to order a new battery from? thanks

Get a larger battery if you gotta replace it anyways.

I love my 12 cell battery for my Compaq......lasts 5+ hours per charge.

I'm having the same issues. I've got an HP laptop that is about a year old. I get about 30-45 minutes on a full charge these days, and that's with the screen brightness turned all the way down. I am planning on getting a 12-cell battery sometime this summer, and I think that ebay is the best bet. I know that a 12-cell for my model is around $110 after shipping.

Another thing, I've heard that it is better to only charge your laptop battery after it has pretty much died instead of keeping it plugged in all the time. I guess this help the battery hold a charge for longer? Anyone know anything about that?

maybe should have the battery disconnected while the laptop is plugged in?
