I have all Linksys equipment at home. Good prices and great products. Easy enough for the novice user, yet plenty of features for the advanced user as well

I too have linksys at home, but others to considder that are also good, dlink, 3com, Soho, and smc.

Other brands are good, possibly as good or even better, who knows theese days. But still, you basically can't go wrong with a nice linksys!

Running a D-Link DI-713P, which has three wired jacks, as well as up to 256 wireless . I'm running both wired and wireless connections. Works great, and definitely gives me peace of mind.

Here's the link:

And here's all their Cable/DSL products:

I have D-Link 713P wireless/non-wireless (I think they all are like that) router and D-Link DWL-650 wireless network card... no problem at all on Windows 2000... but if you are thinking about D-Link read this thread... guy seemed to have a lot of problems with Windows XP and his D-Link wireless network.

https://www.dodgeintrepid.net/forums/...ighlight=DLink

His resolution is interesting... I don't understand why he is installing Linksys drivers when he has all D-Link equipment. And of course an even bigger wonder why is that it worked....

Oh by the way I wouldn't worry about security unless you are in an apartment building because my wireless computer is 10 feet above my router and I am lucky to get 60% signal strength.

Yep. I had muchos problemos with my D-Link 650 and XP. The reason the Linksys drivers worked is that the actual cards are the same. They use a "Prism" chipset. Linksys just made better drivers. Now I have no problems. As for my router, I have a Belkin wireless router. I luvs it.

I also have a laptop with the aforementioned DWL-650, another laptop with a DWL 120 (USB wireless), and a desktop with a Belkin USB wireless card.
