Adobe Acrobat question

I have about 650 pdf docs. In the document properties of each, it lists the title and author. Is there an easy way to get this information out for each file? The output doesn't really matter. Word, PDF, text file, anything as long as it's automated. Any ideas?

I believe you need to do it before encoding to pdf, but dont quote me, we do them at work sometimes but never bother with those details.

Maybe "ARTS PDF Workshop" can help. It's $249.

Are you a programmer? You probably could do this using the FileSystemObject in Visual Basic. You could loop through all the files in the directory and insert records into a database like Access for each file.

Let me know if you still need it... haven't done it before but I could give it a try.

Well, if you just have the Reader, you are shit out of luck. But, if you have the Adobe Acrobat software, all you have to do is go to:

File - Document Info - General

That will allow you to change the title and author of the PDF file. Now, if you want to do it to all of those files, yeah, maybe a computer program (Basic, C++) will be able to help you.
