OK EVERYONE GET IN HERE, Avenger needs your opinion!
I would put this in off topic forums, but not enough people look in there :(
OK I think I want a digital camera, which one should I get, I dont wanna spend too much money, but I don't want a shitty one either, but if it came down to if I wanted to spend less money or if I wanted a better camera, I'd pick the less money option cause I'm not a pro
Is this a good deal? Works out to about $280 US minus a max discount of up to $66 US and a min discount of $13 US and free shipping (+15% tax :()
Yeah, well that powershot S100 is not on sale on that website, but the S200 is and it's $140more, I was reaching my upper limit with the JVC at $450CDN, I'm not gonna spend more money than that :( And what model is yours, even though it's discontinued, that JVC is discontinued as well, that's why it's cheap
I have the Kodak DX3900 and I love it. I got it for less than $300 (american). It's 3.1 MP (good for up to 8x10 prints), uses compact flash, 2x optical zoom and 3x digital. I just bought a 250MB flash card for it (under $100) and even at full resolultion I can fit over 260 pics on it. At the 3.1 MP high compression setting I can fit over 520 pics! I also have a few friends with Kodak cameras and they all love them...
i got my canon power shot a40(2.1 MP) for $275 us. it is a great packeage and comes with great easy to use software, it eats alkaline batteries but rechargeables last the longest, it comes with the usb connector cable, and camera to tv cable also. i used the software to make the picture that is my signature, the quality is great and the zoom 3x optical and 2.5x digital is awesome, the only down side is the size of the flash card its 8mb included but i bought a 256mb and can take hundres of pictures. clarity is great.
I have a Fuji Finepix 4700 that I got on ubid. Its a pretty decent camera. Not as fancy as a Canon.... but its still very good. Its a 2.4MP camera with Fuji's Super CCD lens that can render shots up to 4.3MP. This allows you to take pics that you can print all the way up to 20x30.
Ive already had a couple of 8x10 prints ordered and the quality was fantastic. I dont see myself replacing this camera anytime soon. One of the best purchases ive made in the past few years.
I have a Nikon Coolpix 800. Nephew worked at a camera store so could get it for cost. Anyway, great camera--perhaps only drawback is that flash is not very deep--but this can probably be said for most digital cameras.
My wife and I just picked up an Olympus D510. It's a 2 MP camera with x3 optical zoom. It also has a ton of features like the Canon a40 has. I liked the a40 but I couldn't find it cheaper than 299.00 and I didn't want to do mail order. We also looked at the Fuji Fine pix both the 2600 and the 2800 but they didn't have video out but were very easy to use.
The D510 was on sale at Staples for 279.00 and plus a free 64 meg smart media card and a 15.00 off coupon came to 276.23 including tax.
