maybe they are all running VW air cooled motors, and thats to help it keep cool???

...and yeah, what is with the external coolers with the lines running right through the grill. Not to mention the missing headlights. :crazy:

They are pretty much emulating the japanese race circuit i believe, with the exposed front mount oil coolers and lines.

It says the exposed oil cooler was a feature of the 70's Skyline touring racecar
