Question Larger fuel cells

I would like to see Nascar allow larger fuel cells again. Now that Nascar has made fire surpressent manatory in the cars they should allow team to install larger fuel cells to let the driver acually race competively, insead on miliage. Personnally I getting tired watching them pit contanlly for fuel. Nascar said the smaller tanks would make the race more competitve, by making the race won or lost in the pits. I think it sucks, races should be won by the car and driver, not by the gas man and fuel estamator.

That would just make it worse. Teams with great milage would go much longer than some other teams. What they need to do is use softer rubber that wears out faster. Than a team making a late stop would blow away the team that stayed out for track position.

NASCAR still uses 22 gallon tanks everywhere but Daytona and Talladega which was a stupid rule anyway, it changed nothing.

No complaints because some fans of other drivers think that flying ryan is somehow cheating on feul... so the present system must be "working"

My big gripe is with the restrictor plates. I think they should limit top-speed with a rear gear ratio. Just say no-one can run a ratio (numerically) lower than 'X'. If guys want to run wide-open OK, but their engine won't make-it thru the race! The cars will be more responsive and we will eliminate single file racing. Take Care, -John

Another big gripe is the 'lucky-dog' 'free-lap' rule. No one should get anything free! If you are going to give one driver a free lap give everyone a free lap! If you are one lap down, you are back on the lead lap! if you are 2 down, then you are only one now! if you are 43 laps down, now you are only 42!
This still isn't fair what do the lead-lap cars get? Nothing!
The real solution is freeze the field when the caution comes out, nobody gets anything! If you have a faster car and go down a lap, you can pull ahead on the restart. If a caution comes out while you are still ahead of the leader, you go back to the tail end of the lead lap! Gee, a Fair lap back. Take Care, -John

Next gripe! People mad about Kenseth's win want to change the point system. I don't have a problem with this but I heard talk of a points reward for winning the Pole! This is BS, the pole is it's own reward......getting to start out front! Take Care, -John

Last issue,
I think there is a lot of finger pointing about everything in the point system and championship. I think Kenseth's record is a great championship record (twenty-something top tens). I also think previous champions should get that considered in the provisional spots. I don't think who the manufacturer or the team owner is should have any bearing on provisional spots. It should be current year ranking/standings AND a good bonus for being a prior year Champion! Take Care, -John
