I cant believe noone saw this...

I was skimming through my newest Car and Driver (with the charger) and came across an article on the Intrepid Nextel cup car....basically it said that they didnt know how to drive and blew out the clutch, so they couldnt lap the track, or even test its braking, cuz they blew it out on the acceleration tests, and only managed a 4.5 run to 60, and 11.9 on the 1/4.....this out of a 3500 lb car with 800 hp...i'll see if i can find a link

I read it in my issue, it was quite funny that they did blow out the clutch.

Thats the cup car, not the sreet version. The street version will still get the slush box, in Ultradrive format with the 3.5.

Oh brother.

Sometimes you get too caught up in your Anti-Chrysler parade.

yep...i probably would've glazed the clutch on that thing too...

i read that mag on the plane, always curious how those things would run on a dragstrip. despite superspeedway gearijng, i was still a little dissapointed...i wonder how a Bristol car would run at the strip.....
