What happened to Marlin???

I've only been watching NASCAR for about five years now, and when dodge came back i counld'nt wait to see some ford and chevy guys eat some mopar rubber. Out of the dodge drivers I've always liked Marlin but ever since his big accident he hasn't been performing. Is it because his age or has the competition just stepped it up? I'm i missing something?

Sterling's biggest problem is that Ganassi has seen fit to give him junk to drive, in the form of untested aero packages and weird shock and tire packages.
His pit crew hasn't been anything to write home about either; consistently losing three or four spots when pitting under the yellow.
Have you noticed that where Sterling used to excel at the bigger tracks, he's actually done better at the short tracks this year, where aero is far less important?
Watching how he drove to the front at the Open confirmed to me that if the man has a decent car, he'll get it there.

Sterling lost his nerve and desire after his injury. He needs to retire and give the spot to a young guy with winning potential.
