That's not how a race car driver (or race truck) would want to go out. He was a real underdog in Winston Cup, but after he moved over to the truck series, he found his place.

It's sad to see him go. He really became the face of Dodge in the Truck Series. RIP Bobby.

He was truly a class act. I was very surprised and saddened since I had heard he was progressing well. My condolences for the Hamilton family. Sad, sad day.

Now today we learned that Benny Parsons has also passed away from his lung cancer. Year just began and already two tragic deaths in the NASCAR community. BP was an avid smoker, so unfortunately his death could've been more easily prevented than Hamilton's.

Benny said he stopped smoking in the late 70's. I knew he was struggling but had heard Hamilton was doing well. Either way it's tough and sad.
