Before the time of steroid controversy, and corked bats, there were players that really cared about the game. One of them, a legend has died.
Joe Nuxhall, the youngest player to play the game in the modern era died last night. He was 79. He was affiliated with the Reds organization in one way or another for over 60 years. A good Summer day for me was listening to Marty & Joe calling a Reds game. My Summers will not be the same ever again.
