So being a huge Browns fan, I must say this was one of the craziest endings (one that enabled the game to go on into OT) to a game I have ever seen! For 8 years I have watched the Browns fail and falter and get stuffed on all the breaks....then this!
I was in astonishment when they signaled no good initially, as to me it was obvious (even before all the TV replay) that it made it through the uprights before being bounced back out on the field. Plus the rule of no replay is beyond me on a play of this stature. Why it is not reviewable is beyond me but I believe this play is going to change some things.
Then to have the refs overturn it (make the right call) and take the game to OT was AWESOME! This is an instance to pat those refs on the back for getting things right and not screwing some team over.
The Browns now have new life and are still only 1 game out of first in the AFC North behind Pittsburgh and still right in the Wild Card hunt!
I thought you were giving up on the brownies when you moved???
After the week one shellacking they took by the Steelers, I made the call that they had to match last weeks season win total to keep me as a fan, that being 6 wins this season.
Hence, they have done so to this point and look to get a few more, so they can keep me as a fan for another year. I knew they were in a rebuilding year, but after that first game, I was fed up with the lines the management kept feeding us. Seems they have put some walk behind the talk since the week one massacre.
Of course, my other home team (adopted) are the Arizona Cardinals...who by a large surprise to me are 5-5 and beat the very same Steelers team my Browns have been swept by this year!
