SLK320 vs. Tiburon

While my car's in the shop I'm getting to drive my dad's Mercedes SLK320.

Anyways, I was driving with the top down (automatic tops ftw) and there's this Tiburon ahead of me flying past people. Silver, dual exhaust, looked pretty sharp.

Either way, about a mile or so later I pulled up next to him. You could sort of sense the tension in the air LOL

Turned off the traction control, slammed'er down to first, and honestly it was a merging lane ahead, maybe like 60-80 feet to merge.

Went green, he floored it, I floored it, and I smoked the fucker in first as it redlined.

Wasn't even a competition.

I'm okay with the R/T being shop-ridden

I like those Tuburon GTs. :flipa: So I hate you! lol I doubt that car would be much competition for the 320

Sounds like he was driving the Tiburon Se with the 2.7L 172bhp V6.

They are good for 0-60 in 7.2 and 15.5 in the quarter.

The SLK if I recall has a 215bhp 3.2L V6 and is about 100lbs heavier(3120>2986)

The SLK320 is going to make easy work of the Tiburon at all times. It does 0-60 in like 6.5 and 1/4 in the high 14s.

An automatic V6 Tib does 0-60 in 8.2, the V6 GT does it in 7.7, and the V6 SE does it in 7.2 as quoted above.
