got air?

so i left cadets tonight on the way to tim hortons, with my girlfriend, and my buddy and other friend from cadets, who also come to timmies with us, blew past me jsut goofin around cuz i usually fly around. anyway.. we were going down the 3 lane, 1 way street and it bends off at a 45 degree angle to the right, i get infront of the traffic and hit the bump b4 the angle, threw the lights. i had teh wheel cranked but i still jumped lanes, i swear all 4 wheels were off the ground, the tach just rocketed same with the speedo and i felt weightlessness... it was insane... and my girl just looked at me.
i said "did u feel that?"
"ya, wtf"
"i think all 4 wheels came up"
"ya thats what it felt like"

the guy was behind traffic behind me but i was clippin along enough.. ive never jumped lanes that much over it and i take it every day, like 2 times atleast. i was in the far right lane then landed in the middle to left lane... so... haha wow is all i had to say.

Sorry Long Post

I might get about this comment but who cares.

Since it is hard to destinguist if this story is true or not (I gave that up a long time ago before this thread was even created), so it is kinda hard to call BS on it.

If it actually happened then yes you could of gotten at least the front tires in the air. The major hint about getting the front tires off the ground was the fact when he hit the bump, the RPM's and the speed he was travveling at rocketed up.

**START EXPLINATION**
When you are going at say 55 MPH down the road with the RPM's at like say 2000 RPM's and then you hit a bump, the front-end goes into the air. While the front-end is in the air (FWD CARS) there is less friction between the tires and the road surface the RPM's climb so does the speedometer. That means it would need less gas to turn the motor which turns the transaxle which turns the tires.

**END EXPLINATION**

Now if it is a false story then it is one hell of a funny story from what I have seen. The tadbit of information that I am not picking up on which kinda is making me think this is BS is did you have the wheels turned into the corner when you hit the bump int he road?

Sorry for this post but I am really tired and I have not gotten comfortable enough yet to go to sleep.

The Unappreciated Misfit

you haven't felt real body roll until you've been in the 68 firebird I drove last week. They didn't come with swaybars and when you make a really sharp turn....well you'd wanna pee in your pants.

If his speedo and tach took off, he had to have at least one of the front wheels off the ground and spinning. Doubt it was all 4.

Or reduced traction on the drive wheel causing it to spin. Not necessarily off the road at all. Then again I wasnt there, so it could have been air born.
