Let the flaming, begin!

Just because I thought it was cool, for whatever dumb reason two days ago I launched off a red light like a bat out of hell. It wasnt more than 2-3 seconds before I flung it into 2nd gear from A/S and with my foot dug into the pedal, I chirped the wheels.

IIRC, the car was at about 3700-4200RPM. I didnt let off the gas, and yes TRAC was off.

Discuss. :flamewar:

Stories like this are retarded to argue because with enough variables sure it can happen. Who knows how good your tires are, what the spot on the pavement was like, what the road conditions were, et cetera.

Temperature at the time [which was roughly 2-3PM] was high 80's
The road was in good condition, asphalt looked great
Tire thread is at about 80-85% on a set of 4 Hankook ventus 245/45/18 Z-rated tires
Speed at time of chirp was, ehh, more or less 30-34MPH
Yes, it was sunny and clear out, no rain...........or ice [JOE]

The end.

Going into third, you've gotta be doing north of 110 if you're redlining 2nd... hm... that'd be a challenge.

And most would be hitting the speed limiter shortly there after anyway.

Now if you can chirp the tires when they are drag slicks that have just been heated with a burn out and you are on a drag strip with VHT sprayed to the 330' mark

Call me.

Ho hum.

LOL

110 km/h... which is... 70mph. Lol Dave, your car must be a slug if it hits the limiter at 70!
