...with 2 passengers, subs and a full trunk in my car.

he took off from a stoplight and i wasnt trying to race him, but i hit it and hung next to him until about third gear when i pulled a little past him. I was def happy with beating him by that little bit though with all the weight and everything in my car. He was talking **** at the next light and i was just like "dude, you shoulda beat me if you knew how to drive." he got pissed and took off :grinpimp:

Um, they run low-mid 15's stock with the auto tranny, 5spds are a little quicker. With 2 passengers and tons of extra trunk weight, he was either missing a spark plug or not racing, especially if he got the jump on you.

As far as I've seen, there have been stock R/T times as low as 15.1's. I don't see how it's unbelieveable?

Those are the 3.6L IIRC, the older 3.0 54degree V6 from Opel were about high 15's/low 16's with an auto, and low-mid 15's with a manual. He must have been racing an older 3.0.

You would have been up **** creek :)
No kidding....

'05 Cadillac CTS-V
>5.7L LS6 V8 Engine
>TREMEC T56 6-Speed Manual
>400 hp at 6000 rpm
>395 lb-ft of torque at 4800 rpm
>0 – 60 mph in 4.6 seconds
>0 – 1/4 mile in 13.1 seconds
>Test-track top speed of 163 mph

That would give the 300C a good run!

Good kill though!!

I'm personally waiting for a showdown:

CTS-V
vs.
SRT-8 300C

Now I'm wondering if the CTS is going to have that stalling problem again what happened during the last C&D test.

He ran a 15.95 with his modded R/T. I too would love to see the 15.1 stock R/T.

As for the CTS, I watched a 3.6L auto verson run a 15.5 on a 95* night here multiple times, bone stock. There were 2 manuals with him running 15.0-15.2, and I thought I might've seen a 14.9 out of one, but I think he had an intake. His sounded a bit different.

As for the 3.0 version, I forgot those existed. I could see him maybe beating one without all the extra weight, but a high 15 second car loaded with at least 400-500lbs extra stuff is kinda a whole different story. I'd say it's close enough that he could've still had a shot. Looks like I was wrong, forgot about the 3.0's. :)

1) CTS NEVER came with a 3.0...that was the Catera
2) The CTS in 2003 had a 3.2L V6 that made 220HP
3) Its times were about equal to a stock R/T
4) a bad driver can **** any race up.

that is all.

yah 3.0; 3.2, same thing, different bores and stroke :bgking:

I'm wondering why when anyone say that he beats a V6 from any other brands, the other members say that it's unbelievable?!!!!

The 3.5L Chrysler engine is the best 3.5L engine on a sedan! Moreover, it beats the V8 Fords easily!

I killed many Opels V6 3.2 from a stoplight and on the highways (since we have many in my country), and I will beat them every day, and I'm more than happy to do that!

When I said once that I killed a Mustang GT, many members were going to fight with me, and as usual (missing spark plug, not maintained...etc).

Many members was swearing on the US version Altimas and Maximas 3.5, and when they became available in my country early of this year, I was very happy to beat a 3.5 Altima once I reached 120KM/H!

Only one car killed me, which is a 2000+ Caprice (Holden Statesman in Australia) that has 5.7 with 290HP and 325HP (SS).
You know what, I was very happy, because it was only one car length, I have a V6 and they have a H.O. V8 5.7L… In addition, they respect my car even though after they killed me.

I don't write anything here because I know that I will get replies that says LIAR as what other members got!
And guess what, I feel like any man who become mad when he say the truth and the other people call him liar!

My Best Regards!!!

Probably because the fastest n/a 3.5L time is Don's 14.9 (or was it 15.0?), and that's what any off the lot, bone stock VQ35 sedan will run on a bad day. If I posted that my 3.0 Maxima beat a 350Z, you wouldn't question it or wonder what was going on? Is it impossible, no, but something that off the wall would sure raise a few eyebrows, wouldn't it?

Yeah, that's some good info there. I still conceded that you could've beaten a 3.2, and I wasn't considering that trim when I responded, I'd completely forgot about it. I should be shot for it, but then there wouldn't be anyone around for everyone to argue with.

Slowly?!
Yeah, the nissan would reach the 200KM/H in 10 seconds!
200KM/H is about 125mph no? if your car can reach that in LESS than 10 seconds, congradulation's your car is quicker than a Vette Z06 and Dodge Viper SRT-10

and yes, your 100KM/H video shows a slow moving speedometer. Im not used to that slow of a speedo since my last car.

I'll let you do the conversion to km, but a stock auto 3.5 Alti/Maxipad will reach around 94mph in about 14.8 seconds. Like I'd mentioned before, that is faster than any 3.5 LH I've ever seen n/a.

You know that I didn't mean that!
You said my 0-200KM/H is too slow, so I was wondering how fast is the nissan!
Read 1fst4doors post...An Altima 3.5L will run to 94mph in about 14.8 seconds. A USDM 300M will run 88mph in about 15.8 seconds, maybe Euro 300M's have bigger balsa :dunno: the Vid does seem to show good pull near 200km/h but a moment before that, like around 170-180, it seems as though the car is struggling and then gains speed, did you go up a small hill? Other than that, yes, the 0-100km/h isn't that quick. But then again, quick is subjective.

1fst try this link http://www.dodgeintrepid.net/forums/showthread.php?t=46584 ...From that video, you can eyeball the MPH where the KM/H is on the USDM speedo. 60mph from my counting occurs above 8 seconds, which would give an Altima 2.5 5speed a run for its money

Lo, do you have that video? I missed that one.

Did you get this number by your self from a STOCK Altima?

If so, I will beleive you and I will ask the owner of that 2004 3.5 Altima to rebuild his engine! (I mean the one I raced)

I'm in a Maxima club, so I see lots of VQ35's run down the track. That "average" is from my own eyes, as well as timeslips. www.altimas.net, www.maxima.org.

Those times are for the auto. Needless to say, a 5spd can be faster, but a less than competent driver can also be slower. It'd have to be pretty bad driving to lose that much time, but I remember one friend's first time at the track with his 6spd Maxima, and he pulled a 15.9 because he was a horrible driver, like one of the worst I've ever seen.

Found the vid, just downloading realplayer.
