SXT taken by ES

So the almighty stripper fleet model ES is much better than the not-so-great SXT!

Presenting evidence A:

Month or so ago, LinuxGlobal and I were toying on a relatively empty road, driving fast and trying to race each other to his place. Now I don't remember exact specs, but him and I left school together, he was in front of me, and I made it there 2-3 car lengths before he did. At one point I could see him over 100m behind me.

Evidence B:

Today I call LinuxGlobal from university and see what time we're meeting up. He says he just pulled out of the parking lot and is heading home, and for me to meet him there. I wasn't at my car yet, and he was already on the main road. LinuxGlobal drives pretty fast as well, and I started flooring it and somehow caught up with him, (keep in mind he had a 5-7 minute head start on me), and I whooshed past him. I beat him to his house by about 30 seconds.

He pulls up beside me and of course, takes the loss like a man.

Moral: It's the driver, not the car.

Message to LinuxGlobal:

This thread is a joke; your car's damn beautiful. I love it.

Picture of both Treps for reference. The Inferno Red is LinuxGlobal's SXT and the Graphite Titanium is my ES.

No way. I forgot to mention that his SXT is in much better condition, engine-wise. He's only got about 65xxx km on it, I've got 159,895 as of this evening.

Linux also said a couple times I push the Trep too hard, and it's not sounding too hot as of now. I'll get a vid of idle soon

i think we need to get more of this street story. I was on the phone with my GF, going under the speed limit and minding my own business on a rainy slippery day.

I think i need to actually whip this ES one day, when he least expects it LOL>

After hanging out with Ciprian for a bit, I did realize that my 3.5 is NOT a high output. I actually wasn't aware of the difference. I'm seriously stupid at this stuff... but point was, it's not the original motor, it was replaced with a lower mileage one at one point in 2005 or something for $300 or something... but it's not a HO as far as I know.

I did think it was for the longest time. Damn I'm a n00b. Ciprian would come in and say that i was too paranoid to even change the shifter to the leather one myself, and he did it for me... But I'm learning slowly!!!

Seriously guys, LinuxGlobal's my guru for superstock mods!!! What an awesome dude.

HAHAH ure too funny Adi.

I think i can explain it all through the fact that im not a maniac who has a death wish in an intrepid in the rain LOL.... i know i cant stop so i dont abuse it.

One day its gonna be so jokes when ur 3.5 Blows up at a light, no offense but u pull a lot of ricer moves. I just take my time and especially in shitty weather, cuz u gotta be safe before anything. I dont feel like getting killed over a car LOL.

You also push it way over the limit, so if im doing 70-80, and u do 90-100 to pass me which means i would have to go 110-120 to pass u... 120 in a 70 zone, no thanks. 50 kph rule. Plus u nearly screwed urself in that one turn and beat me by an insignificant time LOL.

U always think we're racing, when we're clearly not.

my motor is just taking the easy ride LOL... nice and calm LOL. Plus we all know what my trep has hehhehe...

Or maybe Ciprian Lost cuz he wasn't racing to begin with LOL..Theres a diff between playing around and racing. Plus the local Ontario drivers know the new rules now, (50k + over limit) = crushed car

Im getting my leather Phil.. heheh.. my trep is gonna make an awesome winter car. I think all i need now is the special exhaust and 3.89 gears, we still gotta check those out heheh.
