Intrepid ES vs Monte Carloo SS

18 yr old in daddy's car against lil ol' me in my ES...his tunes were thumpin', mine were thumpin' much louder...light turns green....I never noticed before how nice the tailights are on the Montes, but I got a good look for about 5 seconds tonight. But that is ok because I was thumping louder and sweeter.

Kenny Rogers:

You got to know when to fold...

'twas a valiant effort though...

SS or SS Supercharged?

Or was this one of the new SS models with the LS4 5.3L V8?

I didn't look that closely, besides it was kinda blurry as it went by me.

Yeah, you got to know what battles to choose when driving a trep.

I prefer racing people in my class. Yet all I can fins are ricers or people with LS1s.

Treps are in a class of their own, along with most of their drivers!

I have a '98 Monte Carlo LTZ(the fastest Monte Carlo in '98) with the 3800.

Due to my transmission problems. I have never really been able to let the 'trep stretch it's legs, but I do not suspect that my Monte would be that hard of a kill for a 'trep with the 3.5. It would be a fun race to watch.

This puppy was the newer style...not the 2 door Lumina...definately a V8. I've driven many cars with the 3.8 and they don't go like this guy did!

I was answering Scott AU's question. He asked if anyone had ever raced a Lumina, and the Older Monte's were 2 Door Lumina's.
