Dodge Durango Advice...

Hi guys, some of you know that I was planning in purchase a new Chevy Impala for my wife.... well, days later she told me that she wants a truck So, tomorrow I'll see a '98 Durango 4x4 , 100K milles and the guy selling it is asking for $6,500K (usd) For the pictures I saw it looks in great shape.

So, can I have some advice on these trucks? Are they reliable? Any points I have to check tomorrow before closing any deal? Suggestions? Anyone of you guys have one of these?

Thanks for your help as always guys.

Seems like a good deal. Just change all the fluids when you buy it. Who knows when it was changed last?

Anytime. I am looking to buy a Durango too. I love their looks. They seem like they are built well.

had ours for 25K miles, averaged 14.9/mpg

never once had an issue with it, ran like a top until we traded it in.

Good luck with yours

The 318 (5.2L) is pretty much a bulletproof engine. Not as economical as the 4.7, but will most likely live longer. The 318 is still used in the cargo vans as far as I know.

Actually, I read that the 4.7L it's something like the 2.7L engine (sludge, not reliable, etc..) It's that true?
