Thats what Im thinking. But if this does happen; Chrysler could make a surprise move and buy Jag/Rover...I know it wouldn't happen, but it would be great!

I have never really liked Jeeps. I do however like the older Cherokee models.

Good.
They still don't have four wheel drive in the Wrangler.
Cerburus took four wheel drive out of the Liberty/Nitro.
The commander, wow there is a huge market there.

The sooner Nissan buys their dumb ass, the better.

EDIT: I'm referring of course to Chrysler as a whole.

i'd bet that Chrysler loses money on every Viper they sell. there really is nothing practical about a Viper, but it is a flagship model like the Corvette is to Chevrolet. but it doesn't get 25mpg like the ZO6 Corvette that goes just as fast and costs much less.
but, worry not- the Challenger will be out pretty soon. i'd bet they are getting rid of the Viper so people will buy the overpriced and overweight Challenger.

I don't think it'll happen. Maybe when Nissan buys the whole package . Now that's another story.

Right now it would be kind of difficult for them to take just Jeep with Chryslers integration with their other models (drivetrains / frames etc.)

You know they would probably be more interested in the newer Jeeps like the Patriot / Compass than the tradition Grand Cherokee and even the Liberty.

I sure hope it doesn't happen.

Yea your right, Vipers are big, mean, and expensive..... but god damn.... its still the freakin Dodge Viper, one of Americas most highly recognized cars. I remember back when i was like 6, I seen a Viper for the first time, and Ive been a Mopar man ever since. I guess they'll do whatever there gunna do but still, I hate to see it go.

The 90's was a great decade for Chrysler. With the redesign of the Ram; the intro of the Concorde/Intrepid cab-forward design, the Neon, and the re-design of the Dakota in '97. Things were great back then. I loved all of those (not that I dont like the LX) designs. But eversince the "Merger" which turned into a buy-out with Daimler; everything's gone down hill.

I want those good 'ol days back!

I wanted to see the viper get variable intake valve timing.

same goofy kink

The viper was the beta test for variable valve timing for the hemi, now we will never now if Chrysler is going to do it.
The updated hemi has VCT not VVT.
