I'm thinking the latest version is AL from the Dealer.
There are several used discs of different versions on Ebay at varying prices.
I have a few of the OEM older versions but would need to take a look to see what the versions are.
RONBO, my sincere pleasure to here and get to know you through this forum. I hit you up with a Rep due to the fact you deserved it as you where the first and only person at this point in time that replied to this thread.
You are correct & I would appreciate you doing so for the wife & I.
I as well will be looking forward to hearing from you again In this thread regarding such!!! Please let me know either way. My wife is as well constantly driving elderly people around on a daily basis be it to the Cancer Clinic, a Hospital for other reasons, doctors appointments or what ever. The Disk would be mainly for her use even if it is just a tad bit out of date. I will not partake in Ebayyyyy under any circumstance. Once bitten twice shy!
Now on toward Problem # 1
For the second time in the past two weeks I did In fact phone the north America 1-866-4navteq telephone number belonging to Navteq early today and was told a different story once again by the person whom answered my call.
1.) When i questioned the person whom i spoke with on the phone i was told today the company being Navteq is as well now called Here Maps..
2.) I asked again, what is the most up-dated disk that they may have for a 2005-2006 Chrysler town & country ltd for the alpine rb1 system with Uconnect and how current is the actual maps information that is on it.
3.) This time the person told me that the disk i require is such disk called: Chrysler group - 2013 north American map for alpine (rec/rb1) v.Al - part number being u3645-1075-210
4.) I as well had asked today one more time does such disk include a up-date for the option of Uconnect. I was put on hold for roughly 3+ minutes and then told yes it does (where as with in the first telephone call to them they informed me that the newest disk they stated does not have anything to do with the Uconnect feature at all)!!
5.) I then further proceeded to inquire exactly how current the navigational maps are of such disk for north America here in above mentioned are. The person told me that the maps information is actually current up to 2011 and not 2010 as the first person told me when i originally phoned the same Navteq telephone number (1) week ago to inquire regarding such.
6.) I then proceeded to ask them why they are selling a so called up-dated (2013 navigational maps disk) to which they advertise as being 2013 "that in fact has out dated information on it" to the general public for the full retail price of $149.00 USD to which has been the very same price of such disks for the same Chrysler town & country 2004-2007 group (rec/rb1) system for years...
The person then stated to me (could you please hold for a bit sir and i will ask).
I was put on hold again, this time for roughly 4 minutes and then told that the price is $149.00 USD regardless. Shipping on top of that to Canada is additional a $29.95 usd which by the way I consider to be absurd. And he had no answer with regard to my question of the so called 2013 disk they sell providing me with different information on my second call to them.
7.) Furthermore he did mention that if I wanted to do so, I could go to my local Chrysler dealership and purchase such disk. "well i had some up-dated info for him." I live in a major city of Canada to which does not have (1) Single Chrysler Dealer in the entire province whom at this point in time no longer supplies or sells the disks in question from Navteq.
8.) As I am a CEO of a small corporation that has 78 employees, all of our telephone conversations at the office are 2 way recorded to insure that the employees take care of our clients with a 100% satisfaction rate!
9.) I asked one of my employees to pull a copy of my first recorded telephone conversation that i had with Navteq (1) week ago as well as a few minutes thereafter my second conversation with Navteq earlier today. We did listen to both complete recordings of each, and as well, read the complete transcript of each call.
10.) Fact being one way or the other, Navteq-Here maps did give me two different stories!
11.) The (2) matching pre-owned vans i had purchased with hail damage being the 2005 & 2006 where both originally custom factory orders from the oldest and most reputable Chrysler dealer in my province. Both vans where actually ordered by my brother for him self and his wife. Therefore i do know the exact maintenance history on each.
12.) The only reason why i had purchased such vans where so that my wife & i could leave both of them at the lake to use as we do quite a bit of entertaining. Each van repaired would be more then convenient for use to transport our visitors to and from, then the wife and i using our brand new vehicles!
13.) End result is that i do not trust Navteq-Here maps, nor would i do any business with them at all period. I would feel more comfortable purchasing a original disk or copy off of some one that actually has such disk to which they may no longer require...
14.) So if any one on this forum is in possession of such disk that i require, i would be more then happy to obtain such off them through this forum.
Now problem # 2 The Rear Park Assist Warning Light & Or Sensor Problem I have - P.S. It would be nice if a fellow member chimed in on this, or do i have to waist space and create another thread solely devoted to it???
1.) Can any members on this forum actually shed some light with regard to the Rear Park Assist Warning Light & or Sensor problem that I am having on each van??
2.) This being with out telling me to actually scan each vehicle to find out if the sensors are off line as the Chrysler Dealer did so state to me as well earlier today.???
3.) If possible I myself would like to manually try to repair the problem If possible, I will mention that I could obtain either a Snap On or Mac Scanner from a friend of mine whom owns a repair shop to do the diagnostics. I would rather tackle this problem myself head on then relying on any other person to do It for me.
