Question Grandpa wants a sporty luxury car :D

So, we were celebrating my Grandma's birthday today, and my Step-Grandpa was telling me about his interest in buying a sporty car! He say's he's almost 80 years old and doesn't need anything, so he might as well enjoy his money with a nice car. He currently has a (93?) Oldsmobile Achieva and a 01 Toyota Rav4, both standard transmission. He loves the oldsmobile, but doesn't care for the rav so much.

Anyway, he mentioned a BMW first. I think that's top of his list. When I asked him about Lexus and Mercedes he said he doesn't want an old man type of nice car, he would get a Cadillac for that. He says he doesn't like the new Jaguars either. I asked him about a Saab though, and he said he's heard good things about them, and would consider it.

So, he wants a sporty luxury car. Not a sporty low rider car with a spoiler, but not a big luxury car that an old person would steriotypically drive. What are your guys suggestion? It needs to be a standard transmission too. Also, I don't really know the price, but nothing extreme. Probably around 30-40k, 50k most. Thanks!

Get over the trans issue and get a 300M Special.

He wants something that people will notice him in though. The nicest cars you see around this city is a BMW once in a while, or the generic Corvette that all the people with money have....

I don't know about a charger, but that remidned me of the new Dodge Challengers. I wonder if that would interest him? He also said he likes the Mini Coopers.

Done up like a superbee, he'll be noticed...or an orange challenger, sure! I was going for the sedan idea though
