I need a little help... ok a lot of help

My girlfriends 99 Saturn SC1 won't start, the numbers on the stereo aren't there anymore, the dome light doesn't work and the cigarette lighter doesn't work either. What could this be? I tried over at a saturn forum and they were not help at all and you guys are reliable and trustworthy. Thank you for your time.

Could be anything, check your battery and connections first.

Everything else works. Headlights, tail lights and dash lights all work fine. I will swap another battery into it and check it out.

Garage
I know those Saturns had a lot of issues with the ignition switches. I would check and see if your switch is turning everything on.

Check any relays that may be involved in turning those components on as well.

I was thinking ignition switch. Well her parents decided to take it to a shop that over charges. They charge her mom $300 to do a tune up on her 99 Pontiaca Montana.

All the things you listed as not working all get constant power...I would first look for blown fuse, check them ALL...then matbe fusible link type problems, then ignition swich..
