98 Caravan not resetting

hey. got a little problem with my 98 dodge caravan. when i start it up the ac and defroster lights blink until I drive it for a little while. i took it for inspection after putting in a new battery. it failed and the guy said to drive it for about 100 miles. did that and still nothing. I tried disconnecting the battery but didnt work. it seems that the computer isnt resetting. any help would be appreciated. thanks!!!

Our 98 did this, never figured it out. however some google'n turns up that it indicated the system has lost its calibration.

set your blower speed switch to the highest setting, turn your temperature to the coldest setting.
turn your mode selector to your panel vent and then press your rear wiper button and rear wiper wash at the same time with the engine running
all the lights will start to blink and then all the doors inside the box will start moving around, once this test completes, the rear defrost should be the only light blinking slowly
press the rear defrost button to make everything normal again
Wish I had thought to google for it when we still had our van.
