1989 Honda Accord LXi 4-Door

Well, seeing how I can't get a rental, and I need to have a car to do my job....I went out and bought a "beater"

1989 Honda Accord LXi 4-door, 5-speed
217k, runs great, fun to drive.
Hopefully it will last a while....

Wow, that's a far cry from your M... But that vintage Honda isn't too bad if you can get over the looks and size...

Good luck with it! Nice color, decent body too.

Just don't go ricing it up...

Looks to be in stellar shape. I don't see rust in the pics, these were always plauged by rust by the rear quarter panel, rear wheelwell, and rocker panels. But they'll run forever it seems. I'm surprised the paint is too! Previous owner took great care of it.

The only mods I'd do is a set of newer Civic SI wheels and a short throw shifter, then drive it til it dies.

Tom COULD go get a rental right now, but he would have to pay his own way and get reimbursed when this Fuvked up Insurance Company forks over the dough finally!

I'm very much looking forward to new pics! First car in my own name was a 83 Accord... loved that thing. Stupid me didn't know/care about maintenance and promptly ran it into the ground in under 2 years...

Ah to be young again... LOL

Actually, it is not "fart can" sounding at all.
I purposely avoided that with this setup.
It sounds like an angry 4-cylinder

Oh, I know....I will have to do that here in a bit.
I averaged 30.5 mpg up and back from Waterville yesterday....doing close to 80 the whole way, and the A/C blasting. Can't beat that.

but wheres teh park bench?
No park bench for this car....these cars had class back in the 80's, and they still do today.
