My thought exactly, I cleaned up the computer ground, and the ASD operation is 100% consistent now. The compression numbers worry me, but I think I might put it together and see what happens.

I know next to nothing about the 4 popper you have there - but what about removing the valve cover and using your eye to check timing that way? Maybe you'll see that a valve isn't completely closing or something?

there three sounds. a bit of a squeal, I believe it's coming from the new water pump. There's also no intake on, and you can really hear the wooshing. The exhaust is also barely attached, so it's making a racket. The motor itself seems to be running smooth.

today all four wheels hit the floor for the first time in ages.

Tuesday I'm taking the day off to finish up some welding and hopefully putting the front clip back on... I discovered some potential complications with the k-frame tonight, that may be a setback.

getting there....

It's the K-frame. that cracked bracket is the sway bar mounts... so I'm 0-2 on K frames. Curses.

So you have a spare K-frame you can take some time to weld up and service?

that is the spare K-frame.

Will have to source a new one... again. Fortunately interchange is pretty wide open for this, just about any K-car will work.
