'98 Neon ABS Light

HELP!!! i was drivin my girlfriends grandmas car when the ABS light came on ... ... any reason this would be on?? is that like wheel bearing related??

Check the fuse and the wheel sensors.

it could be wheel bearing related if the wheel bearing is REALLY bad. You will need an abs scanner to pull the codes.

sounds pricey ... but it just turned on so i doubt its really bad

UPDATE!!!
light turned off ... but when i went to apply the brakes they like had a grinding feeling to them then stopped but light stayed on

well she just bought the car in Feb... they replaced all the brakes and did all the normal maint stuff, paperwork showed it.... so im guessing they gave us bad pads
