Chrysler Ditching Hyundai???

Quote:
Hyundai Motor is expanding despite DaimlerChrysler AG's plans to sell its 10.5 percent stake in the Korean automaker. Hyundai Motor spokesman Oles Gadacz said Hyundai is not looking for another partner. "We are capable of achieving our goals without any other alliance," he said.

It's more like Hyundai is ditching DC. They are doing very well and don't want to be messed up like DC did to Mitsu and Chrysler. It looks like Daimler is looking to go back to its roots and forget the bad idea for a global company. They will do what they do best. Make good money selling low volume high cost cars. Shareholders want this nightmare global idea killed as soon as possible.

They also can use the operating cash from the shares since the banks are unwilling to extend any additional credit to DC.

Hopefully, this means that Dodge can get back to designing stunning-looking concept-like cars at great prices, that do well with the typical North American style of driving.

it seems like DC is giving up on its global idea....hopefully chrysler will be separating soon, and from what i see, Chrysler wont be sold...it will just unmerge, hopefully...and then chrysler can go back to what they do best, selling awesome styled affordable cars and being the best at it, and setting trends

I think it will be sold. Daimler shareholders expect to get some return back. Right now Chrysler is worth more by selling its assets off than selling as a unit.

I do agree that would help them do what they did best. "Selling awesome styled affordable cars and being the best at it, and setting trends."
