2 down, one to go.

Mitsu and Hyundia are gone as partners. How long for Chrysler?

If Iacocca can get the investors together, he could have a shot.

I know he is old, so maybe Lutz would do it; he would end up having the last laugh after all.

no....Lutz has a nice contract at GM....if anyone, it will be Iacocca and Kirk Kerkorian (sp?) who will do it...KK cares the most about the company, since he owns damn near $500Million worth of its stock...just an FYI...he sued daimler for $1 billion for the takeover

Now if Toyota took over Chrysler that would put them in NASCAR cup racing. Interesting.....

It may not be Toyota to take them over(wouldn't it be funny if Nissan bought them. Nissan was almost bought by Chrysler in it's hard days. Now nissan has no debt and good size cash reserve). The only thing is it will not stay the way it is with DC. The shareholders and banks want any reminders of the failed "global company" erased. Chrsler has to go. It can be sold as is or in pieces. My bet is it will sell in pieces.

Why do you even post here? You say the same thing over and over again.

Chrysler will not be sold into peices...It can stand on it's own quite well with the right people running the show.

Thats your opinion. Maybe it can stand on it own, the problem is it is worth more to Mercedes in pieces than on it own. Shareholders should demand to get as much value back as they can whatever has to be done.

Doesn't GM own a portion of Toyota? I know they share certain platforms (Vibe & Matrix). Besides, they're not interested in their Chrysler Rivals. They'd much rather try to run them out of business (a feat that has been proven difficult for DCX competitors)

I don't think so. If they do, it's very small. Besides GM is using a Honda engine in the 250 horse Saturn VUE. Just technology sharing.

G.M doesn't own any of Toyota. They do share some technology like the Vibe/Matrix.

The divestiture will allow the Chrysler Group to focus on its core car and truck operations.
Come up with something better than that.
