My new minivan

Finally got around to snapping some shots of the new van. After almost a week I am liking it better and better. The space is great and it's pretty quick too

Nice.

A co-worker of mine was looking at an Odyssey.

In minivan comparison tests, it takes a totally new model from Toyota to edge out the Odyssey.

....but in the end, it's still a minivan :p

seriously, though......both my parents and my fiance's parents both had a bunch of minivans......and we hate them. we agreed that we will never in our life own a minivan!

Wait for the new model this fall. It should totally outclass anything out there now.

The Expo is pretty much an AWD minivan with a frame - AWD Astro. Seriously, tell me something that the Expo could do but a V8 GMC Savana AWD can't?

I wanted something functional to move a lot of people. I was considering the Caravan until I found out I could get 4,100 off the sticker on a Honda. That van was 28,980 sticker and we got it for $24,850. I think the new model coming out this Fall was a big factor in the bargain basement price. I've driven plenty of Caravans I wouldn't say this van functions any better or drives any better but it's definitely got more power and better brakes. Without dragging my ass into a Dodge dealer they weren't even offering me that much off the sticker of a Caravan via email quotes.

I know it's a minivan and all minivans suck but that Nissan oh man it's the king of sucking... the Aztek of minivans ... I hate that f*cking thing

And I agree with you Randy except this isn't "my" car and the only function of this car/van is to free me up to get a two seater with a manual... if I can drum up a lot of database side business in the next year dare I dream about getting an SLK

Are you comparing a monster SUV to a minivan and asking what the monster SUV can't do that the minivan can? The monster SUV will suck the money right out of your pocket in gasoline costs..

The above Odyssey gets 18 city and 25 highway... actually it gets better mileage than my G35 which is rated 19/26 because at 85 (which is "my" speed) the G35 is pushing well over 3K rpms while the Honda is loafing at slightly over 2K

first of all, the GMC savanna is a full sized van. find me one MINIVAN that comes with a V8.

then, let's not forget about 4-lo

now you tell me someting an F-250 with the 5.4 can do, that an Expedition can't? (yeah, i know the back of my expedition is enclosed, so tall things may not fit as easily as in the back of an F-250, but it can still haul a lot with all the seats down!)
