So It's Not an Intrepid -- (WARNING - Lots of Pics!!!)

Many of you know that I was scheduled for arthoscopic surgery on my knee this past tuesday. Everything went well. Before I had the surgery, I decided to give my new Bonneville some TLC before I couldn't do it for acouple of weeks. Here are the results... Don't mind the shear pic whorage...LOL... It may load up alittle slow, but they all are great pics.

My '01 Bonneville SSEi after a good wash, clay bar, and Gold Class paste wax. Click on the smaller pictures to see the full resolution pics:

The SSEi has lots of nice luxury features... but I could never quite warm up to it's interior. Of course, very few GM interiors make me smile.

Nice car, though.

Well, converting from my 1st gen ES to the SSEi was a night and day conversion. The seats are 10x more comfortable, they are heated, the stereo is 10x better than the stocker in my old 'trep, the heads up display is great, and the orange/red lighting really does reduce glare at night.

That said, there are really only a few things that I don't like about the interior of the bonnie. The climate control seems to have to have a setting much hotter than the intrepid to make me feel comfortable (77*F instead of 70* in the intrepid), there are no cruise buttons on the wheel, there is no cruise light indicator (not much of a problem), and you can't have 2 cups in the front seat cup holders at once. But all of those are VERY minor problems for a great handling and very powerful car.

That car sure shines up nice! I should get some time to do some work on my black car. It doesn't shine nearly that well. Beautiful!

See sig.
It's the GM L67 motor and it's all stock. It's rated at 240hp but 280 ftlbs of torque with 90% torque available off the line. That's what gets that big car going.

It may be a pushrod, but damn it's a solid motor My buddy's dad has over 190K on his 95 Bonneville and it runs like a top.
