More worries for Detriot

Watch out Detroit

Those boxes are ugly as hell, But the young ones seem to like them. Then again Detroit's styling needs some help lately.

It's nice to have a stylish SUV or sports sedan to cruise around in, if you have the money. But among the students who are really short on cash, I see nothing wrong with a efficient and extremely useful box (xB, element, and this cube).

Hell, with gas prices the way they're up here, I'm beginning to consider trading in my 17mpg trep for something else.

If they are smart they will immediately go back to the drawing board on the Quest minivan and immediately fire anyone who approved that design... it is just horid inside and out

They can buy something used. Or something a bit more stylish like a cavalier, or a civic.

Not only money is a concern, so is praticality.

Practical and stylish is almost the opposite end of the spectrum. An Element might be ugly, but when 3 of your buddies are driving out with you, you can load a lot of stuff in it. Get a Camaro and everybody would be complaining about ass pain within 1/2 an hour. Also comes in handy when you have to move out of your dorm every couple months.

That being said, I wouldn't be caught dead in any of these boxes I enjoy playing Mr. Lawenforcement a lot better...

Go to Japan and eevry car on the road looks like that. They were simply built for a different purpose.

While North Americans enjoy a big Cummins 600 towing 15,000lbs of 5th wheel, the Japanese (and most Asian people) cruise around the Metro Jungle a lot more often.

I don't think the boxes are ugly (maybe I'm biased towards boxes, I love the 300C), they're just different.

And believe it or not, if you don't have to navigate through mine fields everyday, it's a lot more useful than a hmmwv.
