Honda Accord EX V6 6 Speed

Well thats what Im getting... I cant wait. In Feb. When the Concorde is paid off Im getting a 6 speed Accord V6. I test drove it and absolutely fell in love with it. AWESOME power and its so quiet. Its comfortable and I really need a smaller car.(the corde is too big for a college student!) Now... Opinions on colors... I am really going to miss the LH stlye and comfort! Comments(please dont bash me...:( for going Honda...)

*Takes out lead pipe* :p

I saw one in blue before, looked great.

I'm guessing your talking about the coupe? If it's the coupe there will be considerable less bashing j/k

Go with black then, that would be my second choice. And tint the windows too I've always liked that just totally dark look.

Hmm... with the coupe you have different options for interior/exterior colors. With the sedan, the black interior (which I happen to like a lot) was only available with the silver exterior.

It looks like you can get silver, black, or blue with the black interior in the coupe. White and red get the ivory interior.

I just priced one out with no additional options 27K... there are quite a few other options near that price ... hey why does a college student need 4 seats.. for a few K more you could be in a 350Z... for the same price a Mazda (speed) Miata

I am sure the Accord coupe is nice but don't just buy the first car you try

I bought the Trep when I was in college. Basically since my school was out in the middle of nowhere, it was handy to have around to take large groups of friends out to places. Also, I knew the car would last beyond my college years, so even now I am glad I bought this car as opposed to a car similar to the Turbo Eclipse I replaced back then. I use my whole trunk and backseat all the time. But I can't speak for 97IntrepidES.

The accord is really nice, but:
Open differential (since the 3.2CL is gone how about honda puts the torque sensitive differential from TSX, TL in accord-for ~27 it should be there, the 2002+maxima 6manual has it)
215/50 17, good size for snow tires, 235swill fit the accord.
the brakes (pads) could be improved, the V6 manual has the biggest brakes of the current gen. accord, but the brakes are not a match for the newfound power.
The V6 manual takes premium, and the ignition timing is retarded when regular is used.

You are already getting rid of the concorde? You haven't even had it a year, have you?

New Accord is dull looking IMO.

Well I think that I have changed my mind about the Accord... I test drove an SRT4 today and OMG... I LOVE TURBO... It is $5000 less then the Accord, Faster, Less for insurance, and In my opionion better looking and its a four door. I really Love DiamlerChrysler and I would really like to stay within the company. Now Opions on this... Black with the black interior, Moonroof, "Kicker SRT Livin Loud" audio, Side airbags and EVS Base security for now. all this for Thousands less then competitiors!! SRT4 with options $22,005... Accord EXV6 6Speed with options I want $28990...
Paying almost $7000 less and blowing buy one on the highway... Priceless!!!

Maybe it is just me, but where are college students today getting the cash to buy $25,000 cars?

I suppose if your college is paid, it might make sense, but the best thing one can do is graduate debt-free.

Gag me with a spoon it's a Neon... Dodge trying to call it an SRT4 is pretty lame just call it what it is a cheap ugly econobox with a hyped up engine. I'd buy a Civic and drop a turbo in it before I'd ride around in of those ugly back end jacked up shitboxes.

Man I drove a rental Neon and that was one of the worst cars that I have ever driven in my life. By far the worst new vehicle. YUCK YUCK YUCK

Can you tell I won't be in the market for a Neon anytime soon.

Why don't they do up the Stratus with a turbo at least that's a nice looking car

BTW are you really sure about those insurance rates? It maybe that the insurance companies are a step behind in figuring out who is buying this car and what they are buying it for.... what I mean is young people and racing... my guess is that they will figure this out if they haven't already and jack up the rates on that car.... Dodge even helped them by not calling it a Neon
