My vote is the Maxima. My sister just traded in a 2003 fully loaded Maxima on a 2004 BMW 325i. I loved that Maxima though. I used to borrow it when she'd be away for months at a time for work, and leave it at my parent's house. I'd pop over and grab the keys. The interior wasn't so great....Almost felt like a 1990's GM car interior. I also didn't like the very low cowl height. It felt like driving a go-cart until I got used to it. The engine though, awesome awesome awesome! Being wrong-wheel drive, it was tough to accelerate sometimes, while torque steer ripped the wheel from your hand and rocked it back and forth side to side as the front tires fought each other for traction. Once hooked up, and going straight, that thing went like no tomorrow. Decently roomy, and a great sound system.
The two Honda products, I also like a lot, especially the CL Type S. I'm pretty sure Honda has been having problems with their auto transmissions behind their 6-cylinder engines though. I remember reading a long thread on an Acura forum where people were complaining about trans. problems and dealerships not fixing them right or something.
One quick note, the SRT-4 resale drops just about as bad as a regular Neon. I'm willing to bet that with the price of a 2003 or even a used 2004 SRT-4, even after paying insurance costs, it would be cheaper than any of the cars you mention, unless you found a hell of a deal on one of them. I'm sure the insurance theft premium is higher on all 3 of them too compared to the SRT-4. Don't get me wrong...I'm not trying to recommend the SRT-4, but I'm not sure those are valid reasons to discount it if you were thinking of one.
