Which new car would you get?

The SRT4 is out of the question because the insurance is going to be WAY too much. Now Im looking at the followin 3 cars.

Any opinions would be appreciated!

My vote is the Maxima. My sister just traded in a 2003 fully loaded Maxima on a 2004 BMW 325i. I loved that Maxima though. I used to borrow it when she'd be away for months at a time for work, and leave it at my parent's house. I'd pop over and grab the keys. The interior wasn't so great....Almost felt like a 1990's GM car interior. I also didn't like the very low cowl height. It felt like driving a go-cart until I got used to it. The engine though, awesome awesome awesome! Being wrong-wheel drive, it was tough to accelerate sometimes, while torque steer ripped the wheel from your hand and rocked it back and forth side to side as the front tires fought each other for traction. Once hooked up, and going straight, that thing went like no tomorrow. Decently roomy, and a great sound system.

The two Honda products, I also like a lot, especially the CL Type S. I'm pretty sure Honda has been having problems with their auto transmissions behind their 6-cylinder engines though. I remember reading a long thread on an Acura forum where people were complaining about trans. problems and dealerships not fixing them right or something.

One quick note, the SRT-4 resale drops just about as bad as a regular Neon. I'm willing to bet that with the price of a 2003 or even a used 2004 SRT-4, even after paying insurance costs, it would be cheaper than any of the cars you mention, unless you found a hell of a deal on one of them. I'm sure the insurance theft premium is higher on all 3 of them too compared to the SRT-4. Don't get me wrong...I'm not trying to recommend the SRT-4, but I'm not sure those are valid reasons to discount it if you were thinking of one.

Personally, I'd go for the TL Type S (not CL), but since that's not on your list, my choice would then be for a six speed Maxima.

They did have major transmission problems with the 5spd auto in the CL... I'd avoid it if I were you. I voted for the Maxima but the Accord is also nice... what about a Mazda 6 those are pretty sharp looking too

If it's an Accord coupe...........I'd take that one, but if it's a sedan, I vote for a 300C or Magnum R/T ;)

I remember when I was looking at insurance rates on vehicles. To my surprise, one of the cheapest was a 4-cylinder Accord coupe. You SHOULD check insurance rates on the SRT-4 before you come to the conclusion that it'll be too high. It's a 4 door, if it was a 2 door I'd tell you to not even bother checking ;)

I did get the insurance on the SRT4 and it would be costing me $6268.11 per year! I probably not going to get any of them with the auto becuase I sick of auto any ways. hummmmmm Mazada 6 I forgot about that car... hows that car in terms of performance relibbility etc?

The Accord coupe with the V6 is the only one that gets the 6-speed manual.

My vote went for the Accord.

Out of that list, Maxima 3.5L manual.

Others; Audi A4 3.0L, G/I35 sedan or coupe, GTP, Sentra, Lexus IS300.

Myself, I would pick the IS300 or the GTP. Either that, or I would get an older sports car (worth less, so insurance is less) and invest the rest in it.

Ok I spoke with the (god father) who would be helping me with the payments on the car and he said that there is no way that I am going from an 01 to an 01 because I was looking at an 01 Maxima. So he said If I wait just a little bit longer one full year of payments on the Concorde) then I can get a Brand New Maxima with the 6speed. Or if I can "Bribe" him into it, a G35 Coupe!

I'd be working on that bribe money... after going from FWD to RWD there is no way in hell I am ever buying another car with FWD... no way no how

And don't tell us about snow it only snows (anything that actually accumulates) maybe 5 to 10 days at most in MA and by the next day 90% of the time is mostly gone.
