Lol! To be honest, the Vette was never in the same league as the tvr or porshe. The only "american" car that is worthy of comparison with the european "supercars" is the viper. And what the hell is up with those leaf springs? Is there any specific reason for their use in the Vette? Did chevy figure out a way of making them better than coils? The do have the image of being very primitive and ancient, to the extent that you now only find them on unrefined pickups and commercial vehicles.

Also not in the same league in terms of price... tell you one thing if I had 50K to drop on a new car I'd pick a Corvette over an M3 any day of the week

I wouldn't say 'Only American car that is worthy', as a Saleen SR would wipe the witty little smurks off their smug faces. If those arrogant Brit's want to compare cars, let them try ones around the same price range.

Damn straight!! MMMMMmmmmmmmmm....S7... although, for the price, a new GT is another "Worthy" American car.

Yeah the S7 is very sweet and nearly unbeatable by cars 2-3 times it's roughly $400K price. I was talking about the $160-170K SR Mustang though. It will leave almost all those Ur-a-peeing cars running for cover.

11.8 @ 124 1/4, 0-60 in 4.0, 1.09 lat. accel., 60-0 braking in 98 ft. off the showroom floor.
