The Newest A-body to the house

Here is the newest A-body to the family...its a 73 Dart Sport...we finally dragged it home today...this one just might become a driver, all we gotta do is fix the quarter panel and change out the starter...it might even get the spare 318 laying around (~250 HP) to replace this wheezing 225 Slant Six (Leaning tower of power....) with about 145 hp

Nice find. You may want to keep the 225 slant six. A very good motor and there are alot of after market perfromance parts out there.

nope...it needs a minimum of a starter, and if tthats all it takes, it will be a nice daily driver once the quarter is fixed, but the guy said it was "ticking" so we gotta figure out what that is...but this house doesnt do sixers...except for the Intrepid and the Ram (5.9L Cummins 6er ). If we want power, its gonna be a 318 built to its balls, probably about 300 hp for a nice bit of go

Friend had an old Dart (1st gen) that had the small slant six (192ish I think), he had the motor built to the point that he snapped the frame doing wheelies. It was pretty quick before that though. If I had it,I would keep the six. But I don't so do what you want.

This house guzzles too much gas Personally, I'm more interested in that nice little f body beside it. Can be modded to high power, and they don't handle like an ocean liner.

Check out just about any F-body stock skidpad and braking numbers. They are really not impressive at all. They can be modded to handle awesome, but so can a Mopar A-body.
