I was at the press release in NY for the WK's. I had only seen the REAL pictures of it the day before it was released...I hated the pictures. After seeing it in person and sitting in it, it really is a nice truck.
As for the styling, think a ZJ (1st Gen Grand Cherokee) meets an Acura MDX and you kinda get the jist of what it looks like in person. The front end is really going to take some getting used to though.
And...........IFS. Not a horrid thing because most NEW Grand Cherokee buyers are using it to mall crawl anyways. But for those who like to buy a Jeep that's a few years old to offroad....well, your choices just became even more limited unless you want to spend a load of cash on an IFS lift that doesn't net as much articulation (I've been there with the KJ). Again, though...that's a very small percentage of people (who will just buy a ZJ/WJ/XJ/TJ anyway to bash up)
There's some interesting articles over at Allpar that explains the suspension they were going to put in the WK. A "long travel IFS" that had over 12" of suspension travel.
The littel chrome lever to the right of the shifter is the 4X4 controls.
