Well since the H2 is under contract for GM but only for this gen. He does have the power to not renew the contract and could end the H2 alltogether.

What it really needs are solid axles front and back; triple lockers; Unimog/H1 style portal axles; 15+ inches of clearance; 30inch + fording ability; standard winch bumper.

There! that should scare all the moms away.

Sometimes I'm a little worried about a diesel engine that size though.

With a real offroader, you want to be light to avoid sinking. The Cummins weights over 1000 lbs and the Duramax is not much behind. With that kind of weight you'd be axle deep on soft surfaces.

The Rover TD5 was only 500 lbs or something like that.
