Boost level ?

so my new car runs 11 psi stock. I just made a homedepot style mbc just like i did for the trep. But my question is does anyone know how much i can turn it up on these cars ? without breaking something. I seriously have no idea.

Your main fears are leaning the car out, or knocking.

You should invest in a A/F monitor system of some kind. A standard cheap A/F gauge can be ok for watching for leaning out at heavy throttle. I suggest a wideband though. MUCH more accurate.

For higher then 11, you should probably be runing slightly higher octane gas.

A quick search showed that people have taken it up to 14-16 on the stock fuel system.

You might get better answers from a site like turbododge though.

The engine in those cars have been known to take upwards of 30lbs on stock bottom ends with enough fuel, cooling and top end work.

Starions are not cheap to build up to those levels though, compared to other turbo engines 2.2L and 2.5L in the Dodge's, for example.

The Mitsu 2.6L was used in some Dodge's in the 80's, so as Hypnos said, look around on turbododge.com

The 2.2/5Ls are not mitsubishi engines. Those are chrysler made and designed.
