Intermittent sound from right dash speaker

So I decided to replace my old worn out dash speakers with some new Infinity reference 3.5s. I simply removed the center one and put wire nuts on the wires, I will just leave it like that I think.

I got them connected and the sound only sometimes works on the right dash speaker. It seems that it will go on or off sometimes when I go and jiggle the wires that connect into the amp. It is the stock Infinity amp. I disconnected both harnesses and cleaned the pins on the amp, and can't see anything too obviously wrong. It seems like most wires are a bit loose, or can be wiggled back and forth, so not sure if that's normal or not.

Does anyone know how I can test what exactly is causing this? I think it's a loose wire in one of the harnesses to the amp but I don't know how to confirm that or to really fix it.

Well, I managed to solve this problem. Not sure exactly what it was. I tried bending the pins in the amp connector slots to ensure a good contact, had no luck, took the amp apart, looked OK, put it back together, bent the pins more then reinstalled and it has worked perfect ever since.

BTW, there is not much inside that factory amp... the weight of it is all the steel case.

Also, there has been talk on the board about how to install aftermarket rear deck speakers with the infinity system. You just have to do a bit of semi-custom wiring. Get a two way speaker and solder the wires originally from the small, top speaker to the new little tweeter, and the wires from the big speaker to the new full 6x9 speaker. It has been mentioned that you can do this, but it seemed that there was also some controversy from the old posts I dug up. For the record, it sounds great.

Well, this problem keeps coming back. The speaker seems to work fine whenever I do the pin bending thing and re-install, but sooner or later it goes out. It seems to come on and off during hard turns. If anyone has any suggestions at all I would appreciate it, this is the only thing keeping me from enjoying my all new speakers..

I'm almost tempted to buy another amp to see if that helps.

I know it's not the speaker itself, because I have swapped them side to side and the right side is the one that doesn't work still.
