Bandpass, or Sealed
I have a bandbass box just sitting in the basement collecting dust. I have a sealed box in the trunk of my car. Which one would sound better? The Bandpass or the sealed?

sealed sounds better..tighter and better sounding
bandpass is boomy and loud

Define "better"? Only your ears will now which sounds better.
But, bandpass boxes tend to be more boomy and have a more narrow frequency range than sealed boxes.

well yea i have a vented box and i love it..dont really know whats better..try and see..whats it gonna hurt
Ill try it in the morning... I have to sawp the speakers out tho, so I might not. I dont want to screw around with it... because I have a habbit of breaking things...
Honestly, the last thing you want to do is be taking subs in and out of enclosures. Once they are in and sealed, it's best to just leave them a long. The last thing you want is a leak around the basket.
As far as which sounds "better", like Warlord said, that's really up to you. But the key differences will be smoothness and range in response. The only sound you'll hear from the bandbass enclosure is the sound made by the ports which inherently have a very narrow frequency response compared to the actual sub. Therefore you'll have a much wider frequency range with the sealed enclosure. The other "feature" of a bandpass enclosure is a very large amplitude spike at the tuning frequency, thus the sealed enclosure will give a much smoother response without the boomyness...

just build a ported box and tune it low, then u will get nice bass and a little extra thump
